ELGIN MIRROR is an illustrated story. You can’t read it right now, but you’ll be able to soon.
It has a predecessor named ‘ELGIN’, which was created 9 years ago (at the time of writing). That story never saw a proper ending. I think about that story often, so I wanted to give it a satisfying resolution.
At that time, I had no idea what I was doing. I was a child with an active imaginination using the stories he had recently consumed as a diving board for constructing a world of his own. Needless to say, it didn't turn out very good - but I still find it rather special.
Thus, each year, on September 21st (the anniversary), I do something new for the story. This year, I've created this website for hosting the comic. I have much planned.
Soon, the Preamble and VOLUME 1 of the story will be released. This website will see a visual overhaul, and its real interface will be introduced. Between the business of life and other projects, I can't guarantee a foolproof schedule.
Many times, this project (and many others) have slipped toward the undercurrent of inactivity. The world has a way about taking you to the other places. I think a lot of creatives can agree on that.
But I do not speak the language of aimless pursuits.
I don’t know about an audience. I don’t know who in particular will see this. All I know is that I want to create it.
When the time comes, I’d be happy if you chose to follow it. If you don’t, that’s okay, too.
It'll still be out. That's the real goal.
